* On Time Pick Up Guarantee:
If we are 30 minutes late, your booking fee will be refunded. To qualify, customers must reserve no less 24 hours in advance, excludes weather-related delays.
We recommend that our clients reserve a vehicle ahead of time (no less than 2 hours prior to pickup time) to be guaranteed a vehicle at time of pick up. We can provide you with a vehicle at short notice by phone ONLY upon availability.
If you do not see your driver at the designted pick up point, please do not leave before calling us first at 312-701-4559. If you leave without calling you will be billed for the full price of the trip (or at least 50% NO-SHOW FEE depending on the circumstances). If we do not hear from you, the driver will wait up to 30 minutes at regular pickups and up to 60 minutes at inside airport pickups after the scheduled pickup time. We will then try to reach you by calling you at your cell phone, your home phone, or your contact person’s phone all depending on the nature of the pickup. If we do not get a response we will then release the vehicle and you will be billed for a No-Show which will be the Full Price of the trip (or at least 50% NO-SHOW FEE depending on the circumstances), plus any waiting time charges. To authorize the driver to wait, please call us to authorize his wait. If we do not hear from you after the time frame, we will contact you again, if no contact is made you will get billed for the ride plus the waiting time. Therefore A “No-Show” fee is equal to the trip cost plus applicable wait time fee will be charged when the passenger fails to arrive at the designated location. If you cannot locate your Driver, Please call 312-701-4559 to avoid a “No-Show” fee.
Damages Resulting From Your Act:
ChitownCabbie Taxi Service will charge you the cost of cleaning the vehicle as a result of you or your authorized party Getting Sick in or damaging the vehicle. You also agree and acknowledge paying for all the related fees and charges to get the vehicle back to its normal working condition.
If the vehicle is put out of commission due to damages resulting from your party you will be responsible for compensating ChitownCabbie Taxi Service for lost revenue until the vehicle is returned to service.
Smoking of any kind including vaping is NOT ALLOWED in any of our vehicles.
Credit Card Transactions:
We take an authorization for the full amount on the card to guarantee funds availability prior to the scheduled ride, it may show as a “Pending” or “posted” if you check your credit card account statement online. The authorization amount may be higher than the expected charges in the event you decide to make a round trip, additional stops or change your destination. We will then finalize the charges on your card after the trip has been completed. All receipts are sent by email or text ONLY.
Corporate clients with established corporate accounts, all charges of the invoice will be considered correct and due upon receipt unless we receive an objection within 10 days from the invoice date. Copies of the vouchers under dispute should be emailed to us and the disputed charges or items should be indicated. All disputes initiated after the allowed time frame period will be considered final and non-refundable.
Individual accounts and personal profiles, all charges applied to the customer’s credit card will be considered correct, unless we receive an objection within 10 days from the charge date. Copies of the credit card statement or vouchers should be emailed to us and the disputed charges or items should be indicated. All disputes initiated after the allowed time frame period will be considered final and non-refundable.
You agree to pay all legal counseling fees, litigation fees, legal fees, costs, accounting fees, expenses and disbursements for all actions taken prior to, during and subsequent to the initiation of legal proceedings to collect payments due in cases of non-payment.
ChitownCabbie Taxi Service reserves the right to change the rates and any of the services, charges, costs, fees, and expenses at any time without prior notice. However, this policy does not apply to bookings made prior to rate changes. You’re only obligated to pay the price on your confirmed booking.
Corporate clients with established corporate accounts, Itemized invoices will be sent regularly as “Due upon receipt” at the end of each month.
Individual accounts and personal profiles, Itemized invoices are sent only when requested.
Payment Due Date:
Corporate clients with established corporate accounts, All payments should be received no later than 10 days from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed on in the contract. Payments not received within the time frame allowed shall incur interest charges added of 24% yearly or 2% monthly.
Individual accounts and personal profiles, All payments should be received after executing the ride. For credit card holders the total charge will be charged to their credit card after completion of the trip.
Point To Point Fare:
Point-to-point service is calculated based on mileage and time required to complete the trip. This service is not for a set period of time, just the time needed to travel from point A to point B. if you need a vehicle for “X” amount of hour(s), please make sure to ask for hourly service when booking your trip.
Corporate accounts that meet the minimum usage requirements might be eligible for special discounts depending on volume. Check with us for special pricing.
Packages of Vehicles rented hourly. Certain hourly minimums and mileage restrictions apply.
- Hourly services provided have a 2-hour minimum within the city of Chicago and 3-hour minimum outside the city of Chicago. (Weekends and Holidays may have a longer minimum hourly requirement, please call or email us to confirm.) Hourly charge is calculated based on the time vehicle is scheduled to pick up to when the vehicle drops off. (If your pickup or drop off destination is outside the city limit of Chicago, you may incur a travel time charge).
- Nationwide trips: the rental clock will begin and end when the vehicle leaves/returns to our garage.
- Prices vary by date and vehicle availability. (For seasonal events such as holidays, graduations and weddings, be sure to reserve early.)
ChitownCabbie Taxi Service provides free waiting time (grace period) of 15 minutes for all pick-ups. Waiting time will be charged at $0.75 per minute after the grace period.
Price per stop varies based on distance and location; please call us to request pricing. Courtesy stops that are less than 5 minutes, such as a drive-through, briefly leaving the vehicle to pick up coffee, a newspaper or to mail a letter, do not incur extra charges. However, if longer stops or multiple stops are made you will be billed stop charges. Picking up additional passengers my also incur stop charges.
There is no additional charge for tolls.
Airports Meet & Greet:
Meet and Greet Airport Service is not available at this time.
There is no additional charge for luggage. However, ChitownCabbie Taxi Service is not responsible for damage to luggage or the contents of the luggage.
If free parking is not available or possible, then all parking fees are additional and will be added to the cost of the trip.
Use of service animals is allowed and free of charge.
A Tip (gratuity) is not included in the trip cost, but it’s always appreciated. Gratuities are always paid in full to the driver and you may request to add them to your card at the time of booking your trip, or you may choose to pay them in cash directly to the driver at the end of your trip.
ChitownCabbie Taxi Service recommends that parents get their own baby seats. However, we can provide a baby seat for you for an additional $25 per seat (please mention that you will need a baby seat when you place your reservation).
Our vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs that are 30″ (30 inches) or less in width. ChitownCabbie Taxi Service recommends that you bring your own manual or electric wheelchair. However, we can provide you with a manual wheelchair upon request for an additional $40 (please mention that you will need a manual wheelchair when you place your reservation).
A holiday and Severe Weather surcharge may be applied to trips occurring on national/religious holidays or days with inclement weather.
In the event of a vehicle breakdown or service Error, ChitownCabbie Taxi Service will make every attempt to provide a replacement vehicle (may be through a 3rd party affiliate) that is equivalent to the original reservation. ChitownCabbie Taxi Service cannot be held liable for missed reservations/appointments due to any out of our control service errors.
Refunds & Cancellation Fees:
– No cancellation fee if a trip is a canceled no less than 24 hour prior to pickup time. A full refund will then be issued back to the card used to book that trip, and funds may take 3-5 business days to appear in your bank account.
– A 35% cancellation fee applies to all trips canceled less than 24 hour prior to pickup time, which includes trips booked for same-day or immediate pick up. A refund minus 35% cancellation fee will then be issued back to the card used to book that trip, and funds may take 3-5 business days to appear in your bank account.
– No-Show: If you don’t show up for your trip or cancel your trip after the driver has arrived to your pick up location on time, you will be billed for the full price of the trip (or at least 50% NO-SHOW FEE depending on the circumstances). Please understand that we have to compensate for loss of business and driver’s time, so there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
